New Odyssey Juice and Java is located on the same block as the bus station downtown. For more than fifteen years the New Odyssey has been a gathering place for creative people and their friends.
The current location is the fourth incarnation of the New Odyssey coffeehouse which is named after the legendary Odyssey Coffee House - brainchild of Cynthia Wooten (County Fair cofounder, City Councilor, State Representative). The Juice bar began as an offshoot of the Genesis Juice Coop and was originally located in the 5th Street Market. In the Spring of 2001 Terri Gann and Walter Hunt two of the original 'Juicers' reopened the New Odyssey in it's present location. New Odyssey regularly hosts artists and events including the occasional Top Secret Techno Dance Party.
